so i was wondering what causes this and what are some possible treatments?

somedays from the moment i wake up my head feels clouded and foggy. it doesn't seem to have any relation to drug use the prior night. currently i only smoke spice a couple times a week and drink on the weekends.

but on those days it feels difficult to form thoughts and ideas, my mind remains blank. i also feel unmotivated to do anything, i don't want to go out or do anything, all i resort to doing is watching tv.

the only solution i find is getting high. i even tried drinking ~1 shot and even tho it didn't get me drunk it totally made me feel better

Sometimes I feel this way too. It doesn't seem like there are any solutions, other than just waiting it out, but I'll be interested to see if anyone has any tips.

Increasing blood flow to your brain has been shown to improve your ability to think clearly. Try going to the gym first thing in the morning. When you get to work or school, you'll notice a significant difference in your performance.

I've felt that way when I was smoking a lot of pot. I know you said you don't think it's from smoking, but have you tried stopping for a week or two to see if the mental fogginess clears up?

I've found that in addition to quitting smoking (and quitting other drugs, including caffeine), the mental clarity is coming back, but very, very slowly. Exercise (like AfterGlow said about increasing the blood flow) greatly helps. Even something as minimal as basic stretches for five, ten minutes.

Keep us posted OP.

Any kind of addiction can make you feel foggy. Be it drugs, gambling, porn, or alcohol. My advice is to lay off the spice.

yeah i smoke jwh too and i feel it shrouds your brain with a little more fog than pot does, it being a full agonist and all, But seriously just exercising for an hour or two every couple of days clears the ole' fog right up. The cure=exercise

u misread. smoking/drinking clear it up, not make it worse. and this isnt an everyday thing just a once or twice a month thing

im jc why it happens

get sone valium and be spontaneous, spontaneous is my word of the day,, and new resoloution

sounds kinda like depression too. not a doctor or any thing but alot of the symptoms you described are related to depression. especially using drugs to make yourself fell better. be real careful w/ that cuz this can lead to much worse problems.

like others have said exercise helps alot, also eating correctly and getting proper sleep.

btw, im saying go see a doctor to get perscribed anti-depressants. i believe that they are a end of the line solution and should only be used when all other methods are exhausted or your suicidal.

Caffiene ?

I find green tea works nicely as it also contains theanine which has been shown to increase certain brain waves .

Alsoo try some meditation . I find that works if u stick to it .

Also if uve ever used any drugs u experience a new mindset so when u go back to normal life it feels dull and foggy , as ur used to spice or something which kinda makes ur thoughts race .... u get me or nah ?

im not depressive. this doesnt happen when i stop doing drugs. i use drugs like 2-3 days out of a week and this happens much rarer.

I started getting this way when they put me on topamax - a migraine preventative. Its almost like i cant tell what was a dream and what actually happened. Its really annoying.
